Keep this Halloween Safe and Fun

It's that time of year again, when little vampires and ghosts will be roaming around your neighborhood seeking some "ghoulish" treats. While it can be a fun, carefree night of just being a kid for those participating in the festivities, motorists need to be extra careful to ensure that everyone involved enjoys only treats, and no tricks. Here are a few quick tips to keep others safe:

  1. Have your headlights on, even if it's not dark yet. This will ensure you are visible to trick-or-treaters, making them less likely to dart out in front of you. You might even consider using your brights (when appropriate) to provide that extra level of visibility.
  2. Be prepared to stop quickly. Assume that there's one or more children behind every large object near the road who are ready to dart out into the street. This includes parked cars, trash cans, and trees. Reduce your speed below the posted speed limit, and be more than ready to slam on the brakes.

By following these easy tips, you'll ensure you and your neighborhood trick-or-treaters have an enjoyable Halloween. We, too, at Miller's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram wish you a safe and happy Halloween!
