How are the powertrains tuned for performance?

Capability starts with the core, and thanks to the powertrain kits Jeep brings in, the Wrangler has plenty of power to spare to fuel its off-road prowess. Coming standard under the hood with each 2020 Wrangler is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that pushes out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This V6 engine comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic transmission that comes standard on each other engine. If you are looking for a four-cylinder engine, Jeep offers an optional 2.0-liter Turbocharged Inline-4 engine that pushes out a comparable 270 horsepower and enhanced 295 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to popular demand, Jeep also brings back the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine coming optional with the Wrangler. This EcoDiesel engine pushes the limits of the Wrangler, churning out 260 horsepower and an immense 442 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the sturdy rig of each Wrangler, the SUV is rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs when in the 4-door cabin format.

What are the trim models offered with the 2020 Wrangler?

The customization of the Wrangler starts with the structure of the cabin itself, coming in either a two-door cab or larger four-door cabin style. The core feature selection starts with the Wrangler Sport trim model, establishing a base set for features that are brought in with each other model. Some of the key features we see in the Sport trim level includes underbody skid plates for extra system protection, fog lamps, tow hooks, LED interior lighting accents, a Uconnect 3 multimedia system on a 5-inch touchscreen display, and removable doors as well as folding front windshield, and folding Sunrider soft top. The Sport S trim adds in even more with enhanced features such as power doors, heated mirrors that are power-adjustable, keyless entry and ignition, automatic headlights, and powered windows with single touch up/down functionality. The Sahara trim is offered specifically with the four-door Wrangler, which adds on dual-zone automatic climate control, premium cloth interior upholstery, and convenient side steps to account for the higher ground clearance thanks to the larger 18-inch wheels. The Wrangler Rubicon is the top trim level, building in the features found in the Sahara trim while adding on Tru-Lok front and rear locking differentials, a Rock-Trac shift-on-the-fly transfer case with low gear ratio, rock rails underneath to help further protect vital systems, all-terrain tires, a larger Uconnect touchscreen display with smartphone integration, and a convenient 115-volt power outlet that can power small appliances.

What features and systems enhance the safety of the Wrangler?

Jeep works hard to engineer the Wrangler for safety, with a solid steel chassis and modern technology integrated throughout the SUV's systems. The airbag system works in modern design for enhanced performance, with multistage front airbags and supplemental airbags throughout the rest of the cabin. We also see tire-pressure monitoring coming standard across the board, as well as features such as a rearview camera, hill-start assist, electronic stability control with full traction control support, electronic roll mitigation, and antilock brakes with hydraulic assist braking. At higher trim models or as optional packages, Jeep works in additional features such as blind-spot monitoring, tire-pressure monitoring, hill-descent control, automatic headlights, and more!
